Positions are solely based in our Bozeman, Montana office and DO NOT offer remote work opportunities.

We are seeking design professionals who are creative, open-minded, and eager to work in a collaborative fast paced studio environment. Collaboration within the studio offers opportunities for each team member to contribute to every stage of a project from Schematic Design through Construction Administration. 

We have immediate openings for the following positions: Project Manager, Mid-Level Landscape Architect/Designer (4+ yrs) and Entry Level Landscape Architect/Designer (0-3 yrs).

POSITION 1: project manager / Mid-Level Landscape Architect/Designer

4+ YRS PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

We have an immediate opening for a Project Manager / Mid-Level, Full-Time Landscape Architect/Designer that is passionate about landscapes of various scales.

The Project Manager will oversee landscape architecture projects from concept to completion. This role requires strong organization, proactivity, and effective communication to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. The Project Manager will collaborate with clients, design teams, and contractors to align each project with the firm’s vision and client goals. Reporting to the Project Principal, responsibilities include developing design concepts, reviewing construction documents, and managing construction administration.

Qualified applicants will demonstrate

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Urban Design or a related field, or a combination of relevant education and professional experience.

  • At least 4 years of experience in a related role, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position.

  • Ability to multi-task. Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously and ability to meet fast-paced project timelines and take on diverse projects.

  • In-depth knowledge of landscape architecture design principles, construction methods, and sustainable practices.

  • Demonstrated success in managing client relationships, project timelines and budgets.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong graphic communication skills, including sketching, rendering, and proficiency in digital media and software. Creative problem-solving and technical design abilities.

  • Ability to work independently, delegate tasks, and oversee multiple projects at different stages.

  • Solid technical knowledge in construction and experience in preparing construction documents with attention to QA/QC.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  • Working knowledge of accounting, billing procedures, and project budget creation and management.

  • Proficient in Lumion and working knowledge of Rocky Mountain plant materials.

  • Construction Administration experience including job site meetings, issuing supplemental instructions, review of submittals and shop drawings during the construction phase.

Skills Required

Candidates must be self-motivated with a solid understanding of the design process, from conceptual design to construction documentation. Strong verbal and graphic communication skills, including conceptual design, presentation graphics, hand drawing, and construction documentation. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp is required. Knowledge of Lumion and Rocky Mountain plant materials is a plus.

Candidates should possess strong business knowledge in Landscape Architecture, demonstrate leadership within the team and client community, and identify business development opportunities. They must maintain a successful track record of project profitability and customer satisfaction, define projects, coordinate tasks, and deliver on time and within budget.  

Education Requirements

BSLA, BLA or MLA from an accredited program.

POSITION 2: entry level Landscape Architect/Designer (IN-PERSON)

0-3 YRS PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

We have an immediate opening for an Entry-Level, Full-Time Landscape Architect/Designer that is passionate about landscapes of various scales.

The Entry Level Landscape Architect/Designer assists in all phases of project development, including drawing production, graphic illustration, and other landscape architecture tasks. Primary responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing and reviewing construction documents and specifications, and construction administration. This position reports to the Project Manager or Project Principal.

Qualified applicants will demonstrate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, planning, urban design, or a related field from an accredited program; master’s degree is a plus. A combination of education and work experience is also acceptable.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an adaptable, team-oriented, and proactive mindset.

  • Ability to develop conceptual design solutions, define problems, create program developments, and evaluate alternatives.

  • Proven ability to meet fast-paced project timelines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience working under project managers to produce hand and computer graphics, schematic design packages, 3D models, and construction documents.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp. Knowledge of Lumion and Rocky Mountain plant materials is a plus.

Education Requirements
