senior DESIGNER

Emily Harrison

Emily's design approach is inspired by her upbringing on her family's ranch in Northern California. She integrates built elements into the surrounding landscape, striving for a harmonious balance between the natural and constructed. Her work prioritizes simplicity, beauty and a deep connection to the natural world.

Grounded in research, Emily’s design process explores and subtly reinterprets cultural legacies and ecological conditions to create meaningful, site-responsive designs.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from Colorado State University, Fort Collins. Before transitioning to landscape architecture, Emily worked with the USGS Biological Research Institute, studying ecological communities on the Colorado Plateau.

Outside the studio, she enjoys gardening, skiing, and trail running with her husband and three children, sharing her deep appreciation for the landscape around her.
